Three Reasons You Should Have a First Look
We encourage a First Look for many reasons and a lot of our reasons have to do with timing and photography and lighting, but the number one reason that we encourage couples to have a First Look, is for the you, the couple.

Reason #1: Quality Time During a Busy Wedding Day
You, the bride or groom, get to spend some quality time together. That's it, my #1 reason. Yes, when you opt for a First Look, you are 'breaking tradition' and seeing each other before the ceremony, but you are also choosing to take time during a very busy, very distracting day, and spend some quality on-on-one time with each other.
Imagine this; you're standing at the most comfortable, most beautiful location that your venue (church, house, getting-ready location) has to offer, all dressed and ready. As you stand there, nervous, your love walks up to you; asks you to turn around and right then you are no longer nervous. You hug, kiss, admire, and TALK! For as long as you'd like! And while you hug, kiss, admire and talk, Logan and I get to take honest photos of you unhindered by the ceremony.

Reason #2: Fun Photos!
After your First Look, we start the fun! We like to allow an hour for photos of our wedding couple. During that hour, we encourage cuddling, laughing and dancing. We will explore your venue and make the most of every pretty spot your venue has to offer.
Reason #3: Start Your Party Sooner!
By choosing a First Look, you can also get family and wedding party photos finished prior to the ceremony. After you say your I Do's you can head straight to the party!

After Logan and his wife sold their coffee shop, Logan began to get involved with photography; tinkering with Sara's expensive equipment, helping with business advice, and tagging along to shoots. Sara took him under her wing and taught him the basics of photography and beyond. Now, many years and several cameras later, Sara and Logan have a blast working together, pushing each other to be better, challenging each other to seek out new goals and aspirations, and keeping each other in check (Sara has Hangry Eyes when hungry, and Logan likes to make silly comments about an infinite number of topics). Below are some pictures of Sara and Logan growing up. Mostly from the early days, and mostly naked or in some pretty awesome 80's attire.

Sara is a mother to three tots, an artist, an entrepreneur, and a lover of clean sheets. Sara first picked up a camera at a very young age and has been doing photography in some capacity ever since. She went to college for photography as the world was evolving from analog film to digital, and so she learned how to shoot and develop film and gained a mastery in the art form of photography. Ever since she was a young teenager, she has worked diligently in areas that range from local ice cream shops, corn fields, pizzerias, to restaurants, until she could start up her own business. She has now been an entrepreneur for over 11 years, growing ever more popular in Athens and beyond as,
Logan is first a stay-at-home dad and a husband, and in no particular order after, a cook, a photographer, a coffee snob, and a gardener, as well as many other things. He is obsessed with baking fresh sourdough bread, and loves fermenting food. He hopes to one day be referred to as a Renaissance man and build a home from scratch, but for now he will be content with being a hipster dad with a love for film photography. Logan and his wife Erin owned and operated an independent coffee shop for several years, before they moved on and had their first son, Micah. Logan discovered his love of photography, and two children (Ezra & Liam) later, Erin now teaches high school science and Logan shoots weddings in between staying home with their boys.
